ZeroPerCento is the food market of the Namasté cooperative, which promotes the work placement of people who are long-term unemployed and have intellectual disabilities. The project operates in Milan in 2 shops which specialize in selling all products loose: not just fruit and vegetables, but also bread, pasta, grains, juices, beer and wine, absolutely all of which come from an ethical supply chain that pays attention to both the environment and human labour. In ZeroPerCento stores you will only find products from Italian farms and social cooperatives: one of the main objectives is, in fact, the promotion of ethical producers who guarantee the supply of excellent quality products.
In 2019 ZeroPerCento applied to the Call For Impact of Get it! on Education & Job Opportunities. After completing an acceleration path with Impact Hub and mentorship with Stefano Rovelli, it was among the first start-ups to be awarded an investment of €25,000 by the Investor Day of Get it! from Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore, the strategic and operational arm of Fondazione Cariplo in the field of impact investing and promoter of the program, in partnership with Cariplo Factory.
