La Miniera di Giove is a social cooperative born in Malnate (VA) in 2008. Its primary purpose is to offer educational services dedicated to minors and families aimed at preventing discomfort and social exclusion. In particular, the Cooperative is engaged in the realization of school educational activities and home assistance aimed at minors, together with the organization of local projects dedicated to adolescence, the training of operators and the promotion of psychological support courses for children, adolescents and adults. The projects are implemented in collaboration with a variety of subjects: the Municipalities of the provinces of Varese and Como, Private Entities, Child Neuropsychiatry Services, Territorial Social Services, Child Protection Services and educational agencies in the area.
La Miniera di Giove is now supported by Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore (or “FSVGDA”), which has invested in the initiative as part of “Impact4Coop”: the program born from the synergy between FSVGDA and the Cariplo Foundation puts €1.2M in the field to contribute to the strengthening of assets and the recovery of the cooperative sector, severely affected by the socio-economic effects generated by the pandemic.
Specifically, the investment operation was carried out, in a logic of matching, following the candidacy of La Miniera di Giove for the “Target 1” of the programme, aimed at Social Cooperatives that generate an impact in the areas of reference of the Fondazione Cariplo (Lombardy, provinces of Novara and Verbano Cusio Ossola) and who have resolved after 01/07/2021 and by 12/04/2022 a capital increase of no more than €50,000.
