CDC_STUDIO

CDC_STUDIO is an incubator of ideas for the research and development of sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile industry. The start-up has created two highly innovative technologies – CŌĒO and MIKTÒS – which aim at the transformation and finishing of textile waste in the fashion sector. CŌĒO is the first coating that comes 100% from end-of-life packaging. It can be used on all types of fabrics and leather, allowing inventory and defective products to be recovered and given a second life. The process patented by CDC_STUDIO allows you to obtain a new fabric that is waterproof, windproof, durable and intended for multiple sectors. Instead, MIKTÒS is a process that recovers textile processing scraps of mixed composition, creating a compound similar to recycled plastic.

In 2023 CDC_STUDIO participated in the Call for Impact of Get it!. After completing an acceleration path, in June 2024 it was selected as “Best Start-up For Impact” at the Investor Day of Get it!, benefiting from an investment of €80,000 from Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore, strategic and operational arm of Fondazione Cariplo in the field of impact investing and promoter of the program, in partnership with Cariplo Factory.

Impact

CDC_STUDIO helps companies in the textile sector give new life to their defective or unused warehouse inventories, transforming them into a new sustainable material, reducing CO2 emissions and water use. The goal is to create a future made of circularity and highly wasteless. Regenerated materials have infinite applications and concretely demonstrate that it is possible to create fashion while protecting the environment and generating profits from recycling.
