Biomadre S.r.l. is a company that has been active since 2015 in the artisan bakery sector, through a laboratory – called Le Golose Imperfezioni – that is located in the heart of Como. In 2019, it launched Graniburger S.r.l., an innovative start-up in the catering sector, which is dedicated to the sale of plant-based burgers produced by BioMadre using traditional processes and using only sustainable and organic raw materials, including 15 different types of ancient grain flours, and which employs disadvantaged people, in particular ex-prisoners, along its supply chain.
Today, BioMadre has formalized its entry into the shareholding structure of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore – the strategic and operational Foundation of Fondazione Cariplo in the impact investing field – which has invested €100,000 in equity in the start-up.
