SharryLand was founded in 2017 in Padua as an S.r.l. and innovative start-up, and in 2020 it became a Benefit Company. In operation since November 2019, it has created a national platform as well as a mobile app which features a social marketplace, wiki, search engine and community tools.
Its operating model is based on 3 pillars: to digitalize and create storytelling around the naturalistic and cultural heritage of rural areas through its “Map to discover the Wonders of Italy”; to put online and connect residents, travelers, cultural and economic operators and local authorities who are located in the areas around the “Wonders”; and to supply them with useful digital tools to facilitate the match between supply and demand of experiences, events, services and products.
From today, SharryLand can count on the support of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore which has invested €200,000 in equity in the company. Specifically, the increase in capital came about as part of “Impact4Art”, an “impact” fund of €1Mln to support the recovery of the Art and Culture sector, which was launched in early 2022 by FSVGDA in synergy with Fondazione Cariplo.
